Using it is an accident waiting to happen. : Kingsford Zinc Chimney Grill Starter, 5 Pound Capacity

So far, over the half dozen times I have used it since purchasing it about a month ago, I have found it slow to light the charcoal. It also billows out a lot of smoke, especially at the beginning, and sometimes even goes out without lighting the coals. I admit, it could be the way I am using it, but I have tried a few methods, including more and less paper, and using a bit of vegetable oil to act as a wick to make the paper burn longer... with no real differences in the results. I like the idea, but this unit hasn't really worked right for me yet. For now, it's back to the lighter fluid...
